Cellular material sits under a different set of rules from reproductive material, and those rules depend heavily on what the material is and what the receiving organisation intends to do with it. Assessment therefore starts with the receiving end.
We ask the receiving organisation to confirm the authorisations it holds and the documentation it needs before we plan anything. Where that cannot be established, the route does not proceed.

How coordination works
We ask the receiving organisation to confirm its authorisations and documentation requirements in writing before scheduling.
Where a material transfer agreement exists, its terms take precedence over our standard sequence.
The sending facility confirms the packaging configuration it will provide.
Before collection
- Establish the regulatory position at the destination
- Confirm any material transfer agreement is in place
- Agree packaging and shipper configuration with the sending facility
- Confirm identifiers, batch references and container counts
During transport
- A named courier accompanies the shipment
- Batch references are carried through the custody record
- Both facilities are notified at collection and before arrival
At handover
- Batch references are reconciled against the release documentation
- The receiving facility signs for the material
- The custody record is issued to both facilities
